Next week, as Congress returns to Capitol Hill, I want to greet them with armfuls of outraged citizen petitions all demanding an end to President Obama’s all out assault on our liberties, and I want to make certain every member of the Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee team has a voice in this battle for our rights.

+ + Americans Respond to Obama’s War on Religion
This latest move by the Obama Administration clearly demonstrates their insatiable lust for power, and their willingness to toss aside the U.S. Constitution to achieve their means.
There is no concern for our God-given rights. Even with Obama’s so-called “compromise” on his contraception mandate, we will be forced to go against our moral compass to provide abortion drugs, and that’s just one component of ObamaCare!
Obama’s lawless disregard for our rights should serve as a wake-up call -- not just to religious leaders, but every American citizen. With our liberties being trampled we are compelled to respond.
Our petition does just that. It calls for the Obama Administration to immediately rescind their mandate for all employers and citizens -- not just a chosen few. The petition also supports the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act of 2011 (H.R. 1179, S. 1467) -- two pieces of legislation that would protect our liberties in the face of this assault.
Moreover, this petition also calls for the repeal of ObamaCare when the U.S. Supreme Court hears oral arguments beginning March 26. That’s why I am so eager to represent tens of thousands of Americans on Capitol Hill next week, and will be delivering petitions to Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebraska), in support of his Respect for Rights of Conscience Act of 2011 (H.R. 1179).
It is interesting to note that his liberty-affirming legislation already boasts 206
bi-partisan co-sponsors. I’m hopeful that with your help over these next several days leading to our delivery of these petitions, we may play a role in moving the co-sponsor needle on H.R. 1179 to the needed 218 to pass a House vote!
