Fellow Patriot, The progressive left has been shameless, stopping at nothing to confuse what is really at stake with the new HHS mandate that all employers must provide specific, government-ordered health care benefits, even if those benefits violate their religious and moral beliefs.
But Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney really spins a whopper in a fundraising email she just sent out from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee:
When Republicans refused to allow any women to testify on a panel about women’s health care, I knew I had to say what everyone was thinking: "Where are the women?"…
We cannot allow Republicans to deny us the right to talk about women’s health care. Your contributions will be put to work immediately to throw out anti-women Republicans across the country. Will you stand up against the Republican War on Women before Wednesday’s deadline? As our Senior Policy Analyst Charlotte Hayes opined, “I am reminded of Mary McCarthy’s famous statement about Lillian Hellman: Every word she writes is a lie, including ‘and’ and ‘the’." The left knows that the issue at the heart here isn’t contraception. But they want to make it about contraception to distract from what is really at stake: The loss of religious liberty at the hands of state mandates made possible through ObamaCare.
Currently, Emily’s List and other leftist groups are flooding Congress with calls echoing the untruths and outright distortions propagated by Rep. Maloney and others.
We need your help to push back and make sure Congress hears the truth.
Call your Congressman and your Senators today. Tell them, as one astute woman recently noted, that this is as much about contraception as the American Revolution was about tea.
This is about our 1st Amendment freedom coming under attack from this unconstitutional mandate, plain and simple.
