Charles Chappell - I live in the world where the former guy crashed the economy, in part by slashing regulation, giving out taxpayer funds in a largely regressive manner, and by leading us into at least one unnecessary war. (Iraq) By contrast, under the new guy, we have net positive job growth, improving foreign relations, and a slowly improving economy instead of a quickly tanking one. The democrat before him didn't do a bad job either, which just makes what happened under the cowboy president that much more embarrassing.

You can keep blaming Obama, or you can look at the fact that things HAVE gotten better, and are continuing to do so. This pipeline means precious little for nearly a decade in jobs, (sure, SOME construction jobs, not really anything substantial compared to other proposals currently stalled by some very vocal opponents) so if you're proposing that it will fix the mess the last guy made, you're fooling yourself.

There are a lot of things that CAN and SHOULD be done to fix the economy, while at the same time preserving, even improving the environment. XL doesn't really fit either, and to claim otherwise is really ignoring a lot of facts.

Mr Charles Chappell

Firstly

Who is the former guy?

Who crashed the economy?
Regressive as progressive?
Who is now giving out the taxpayer’s funds?
Who did not change the Bush polices as he said he would?
Who declared war on Libya with out the consent of congress?
In what world can you claim, "net positive jobs"

Your so-called "New" guy has lost two million more jobs then the private sector could produce under Barry.
Improving foreign relations is not true. Barry has

Alienated our closest allies, produced three non-democratic nations given to the Muslim brotherhood. Given away our super power status to any dictator that will allow Barry to kiss his butt. There is no nation that respects us any longer. Most of them are laughing at the US. And you call that an improvement?

Quite coddling Barry and let- no, help him to grow up. He is a little boy trying to do a man’s job.
I have pointed out facts to you. You attempted to placate me with innuendos and suppositions and cute little names.

Tell me, If you start working on your alternative source of energy now, you will not be able to create enough energy in ten years to equal what is being produced now. You want to shut off the oil now and replace it now with what?
I could go on attempting to instruct you as to just where your thinking is wrong. However you will not listen and I would be wasting my time.

Thank you

Jack
