Mathew Staver, Chairman Liberty Counsel Action 1/22/2013 Jack, Tomorrow, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will finally appear before the House Foreign Affairs Committee to answer questions about the deadly attacks in Benghazi – fully five months after the attacks that took the lives of four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens. While recovering from a concussion and related medical issues, Secretary Clinton’s Accountability Review Board (ARB) published findings on the deadly Benghazi attack, recommending that blame be widely distributed and that no punishment be levied. Citing “systematic management failures” and “grossly inadequate security” leading up to the attacks, the report concludes that there was a “breakdown in communication between Libya and Washington, DC.” What the report failed to address was the subsequent cover-up following the deadly terrorist attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, information specialist Sean Smith, and former Navy Seals Ty Woods and Glen Doherty. The question remains: Why did the White House lie to the American people for many weeks after the attack – blaming a ridiculous anti-Muslim video for the attack when in reality they knew within 24-hours that this was a pre-planned, well-orchestrated terror assault on U.S. soil? It is now common knowledge that after stumping around the nation declaring that he had killed Osama Bin Laden and had Al Qaeda on their heels in full retreat, the truth about this attack could have devastated Barack Obama’s re-election hopes. Was this the reason underlying the cover-up? Did Barack Obama’s strategists craft a life to give the President political cover until after the election? These critical questions have not been addressed, and in fact aren’t likely to be addressed, unless grassroots Americans demand a full and thorough congressional investigation into what is now correctly called “The Benghazi Cover-up.” Jack, this is likely to be one of the final appearances of Hillary Clinton as the outgoing Secretary of State. She must not be given a pass! She must be made to answer the tough questions. No matter how valid her long medical delay – and there are lingering questions on how this crucial testimony could have been postponed for such an inordinately long period of time – Americans deserve a full and accurate explanation of what happened and why the cover-up went on until well after the election! It has been a huge victory for the Obama administration to have delayed this inquiry not just past the 2012 election, but even past his second term inauguration!
