We must Repeal ObamaCare, the deceptively named Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Latest polling shows that ObamaCare is increasing unpopular with the public as they learn more about its provisions and effects upon individual medical care, insurance coverage, and the national healthcare system. Patients, especially the elderly on Medicare, will NOT be protected by doctor availability or affordable care by this odious, unconstitutional legislation. Medicare's own actuary has reported that 50% of all Medicare Advantage users will lose their coverage within 5 years, thanks to the millions of dollars cut from Medicare to pay for ObamaCare – more than one half billion dollars in all! Who knows how few Medicare doctors will be left when the Medicare payment pool is plundered of over half a billion dollars? Study upon study have shown the following regarding the effect on doctors and their outright disdain of this horrid legislation. If ObamaCare is NOT repealed between 33% and 40% percent of all doctors plan to "retire, seek a non-clinical job in health care, or seek a job or business unrelated to health care." A large majority of doctors agree that this sweeping overhaul does little to accomplish anything other than to further enrich the insurance companies and entrench the government squarely between our doctors and us in matters of our health care. The American Association of Medical Colleges recently stated that there will be a shortage of 62,900 doctors within the next 5 years and further shortages of 150,000 over the next 15 years. According to a study by the University of Colorado School of Medicine, the barriers to healthcare have doubled during the past decade, including limited physician office hours, wait times for appointments, and difficulty in making an appointment. The Obama Administration's heavy-handed new rules put a significant part of "financing" ObamaCare squarely on the backs of doctors. ObamaCare severely cuts fees for services and gives the government new powers to limit what procedures can be administered, all while burdening doctors with greater mountains of paperwork and regulations. Doctors can be fined or even jailed if they refuse to follow arbitrary bureaucratic, rules designed to limit and ration needed treatments. We KNOW from political experience EVERY DAY harmful legislation remains in place, it becomes harder and harder to REPEAL, RESCIND, AND REMOVE.
