I am woman… and I am offended

I am woman, and I’m offended.
I am offended that, once again, parties in positions of power have decided to pretend that all women are cut from the same political cloth. I am offended, and alarmed, that religion is seen increasingly by many of those same parties not as a vibrant good in our democracy, but as a mere sideshow for nostalgic people or citizens in need of a crutch.
I am offended that the Catholic Church has been attacked as being anti-woman — the same church in which strong women like Sister Elizabeth Ann Seton built a world-class education system for the poor in a less-than-welcoming environment. I am offended that my government would penalize religious women like Seton in the future, telling them they cannot be who they are called to be; telling them their consciences must be dictated by the state.
And I am deeply offended about what is being said about men. A few good men have stuck their necks out lately in defense of religious freedom in America, and they deserve to be thanked and defended as they counter a dedicated campaign of dishonesty, hysterics and even raw bigotry.

I am a man, and I am offended.  We, the loyal subjects of Christ the King, can make a huge difference for good or evil in this world.  We have the opportunity by our beliefs and actions to help shape the future for generations to come, until such a time as Christ once and for all ushers in His kingdom.  We may be here for a short time or a long haul...I certainly donlt know.  But, in either event, it's unimaginable, whatever your view of the end of times, that we should be faithful in Christ's service unti the time He returns (as alluded to in Luke 19:13).
When we consider how difficult are the times in which we live or how rampant evil seems to be, we should step back for a moment and reflect on how bad things once were.  Christ was not born into a perfect world.  In 2000 years the Christian faith has helped make vast changes in our world.  True, it is under attack by the secularists, but it hasn't got as bad in comparision with the first century of the Vhristian era.  It will probably get worse before it gets better (hopefully Christians won't be slaughtered for sport  like during the Roman times)...and will continue on this earth until we see a practical fulfillment of the prayer, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

You are more than a tad bit loony. Methinks this gives the GOP a really bad name and image. Obama will win by a landslide if y keep this up. Really try to seek some help. Not everyone who is not a radical
Christian is evil and the devil. I'm a Christian, go to church, read the Bible and know the Constitution. I'm a Republican, not a union thug, gov dole guy, gov guy or Commie. y are way out in some sad field. May god help you.
