Dear Friend of Israel,

They’ve tried to destroy Israel through warfare.

They’ve tried to destroy Israel through suicide bombings.

They’ve tried to destroy Israel by firing thousands of rockets into Israeli cities.

Now, Israel’s enemies are engaging in a new plan of attack. And it’s going to succeed, unless we as pro-Israel Americans come to Israel’s defense.

This plan of attack — which is well under way — is an attempt to delegitimize Israel.

The most notorious example of this is the Goldstone Report released in late 2009, which accused Israel of war crimes for taking action to defend its citizens after more than 6,300 rockets had been launched on Israeli towns from Gaza.

Today, even after Richard Goldstone's recentWashington Post op-ed, in which he retracted many of the most damaging claims in the report that bears his name, members of the U.N. Human Rights Council have said that they will continue to treat the report as a legitimate working document, and will press ahead with continued investigations against Israel.

And the Goldstone Report is just the beginning.

To date, the U.N. Human Rights Council (led by some of the world’s leading human rights violators) has passed 41 anti-Israel resolutions out of 65 motions censuring countries on human rights violations - 41 resolutions against Israel since the Council was formed in 2006!

Throughout these attacks on Israel’s legitimacy, the only country that has consistently stood by Israel’s side has been the United States.

When the Goldstone Report first came out the U.S. House of Representatives, in a vote of 344-36, issued a resolution that soundly rejected the findings of the report and called on the administration to unequivocally oppose any endorsement or further consideration by the U.N.

This stands in stark contrast to the European Parliament, which (in a vote of 335-387) urged its member states to “monitor actively the implementation of recommendations included in the Goldstone Report.”

It is vital that we ensure that consistent U.S. support for Israel continues, which is why I urge you tobecome a member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee today.
