Fellow Patriot, Last week, the United States Senate had an opportunity to affirm the 1st Amendment rights of all Americans.
The amendment offered by Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) would have allowed all employers to opt out of the Obama Administration’s new mandate that ALL employers provide certain, specific health care services to their employees, even if those services violate their faith and religious conscience.
It’s disturbing enough that it was even necessary for the U.S. Senate to vote to extend the opportunity to employers to act on their 1st Amendment rights.
It’s doubly disturbing that 51 United States Senators voted to defeat the Blunt amendment and continue trampling on the Constitution.
We must protect the Constitution from ObamaCare's assault. And we need you to join us.
Your contribution today of $25, $50, $100, or more if you can, will help us keep fighting to protect our sacred and inalienable rights enumerated in the Constitution.
It should really be no surprise that an unconstitutional monstrosity like ObamaCare made possible a government edict that is a clear violation of the Constitution’s 1st Amendment protections.
And, what’s worse is that some in Washington, D.C., couldn’t seem to be less concerned with the Constitution.
When asked where in the Constitution Congress was granted the authority to enact ObamaCare, then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi could only resentfully ask, “Are you serious?”
Rep. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) recently told her constituents point blank that when it comes to this new mandate, “we’re not looking to the Constitution.”
The Constitution is the fundamental law of the land. Every member of Congress swears an oath to protect and defend it. And if they won't, then we must. Your contribution today of $25, $50, $100, or more if you can, will help us keep fighting to safeguard our Constitutional freedoms from this onslaught.
As Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
Please join us today in ensuring liberty continues to live on for generations to come by joining us in fighting this critical battle.
Sincerely, Heather R. Higgins President & CEO Independent Women's Voice
