Fellow Patriot,
It’s a cliché to say that every election is the most important election ever.
But the 2012 election is truly consequential.
This time it’s about more than just the usual politics. The size of the federal government is exploding, and people are starting to feel the state crowding them in their daily lives.
That growth of government means a reduction in freedom, the unvarying loss of liberty.
On no other issue is this more clear — and on no other issue is the threat to liberty visibly connecting with people more — than with ObamaCare.
There are some who clearly get it. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Daniel Henninger shares how Rick Santorum has struck a chord with voters by being clear in the connection between ObamaCare and our loss of liberty:
Mr. Santorum didn't get this response by discussing health-insurance exchanges and guaranteed issue. He told these people that ObamaCare "is usurping your rights. It is creating a culture of dependency. Every single American will be dependent on government, thanks to ObamaCare. There is no more important issue in this race. It magnifies all that is wrong with what this president is trying to do." His call for repeal produced the explosion. It's voters and concerned citizens like you who are creating this explosion. And it’s voters like you that will keep ObamaCare at the forefront of this election.
The Repeal Pledge tells you where the candidates really stand. If they’ve signed — like Rick Santorum has — you know they’re serious about working towards full repeal.
Mitt Romney regularly promises to repeal ObamaCare. But we need more than just promises. We need accountability. He, and any other candidate that wants to earn your vote, needs to show that he’s serious.
Visit TheRepealPledge.com. See who has signed. Tell anyone who is asking for your vote that he’ll need to put pen to paper before in order to earn your vote.
In 2012, you can stop ObamaCare’s assault on liberty. The process of repeal begins with the Pledge.
Sincerely,
