446 school age children shot in Chicago so far this year with strongest gun laws in country – media silent
The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media. In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year with almost two weeks to go. So why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light? Amazingly, no Obama crocodile tears either.
For those of you too dense to get the point of this post, it’s to make the point about gun laws. No matter how tough the gun laws are, the crazed, nut jobs will find a way to get them and if they so chose, use them. No draconian law can stop this, no matter how well intentioned the law is, or if it’s just about leftists grabbing power from citizens and taking away their constitutional rights.

I would have posted this on FB IF THE AUTHOR WOULD HAVE CITED HIS SOURCE! I refuse to present reports that can easily be dismissed as hearsay.

Do some work. The 'source' can be found at the site that compiled the list.

Watch your language. You can get a lot further convincing someone of your point of view if you're quiet, reasoned, and don't use foul language. All it does is to show your lack of intelligence and/or vocabulary.

How about you do a little research before posting. You can't expect everyone else to research for you.

Of course they are silent. This fact goes a long way to refute their claim that more gun laws will eliminate this kind of violence!

I don't believe these figures are accurate. What is the source of the information? I will repost as well if I can see the data.

Hey, if you follow what is linked in blue in the first paragraph, it takes you to the blog this article comes from. That person also has a full list of headlines (on the right, under "A Shooting" and "A Murder") that make up these numbers. I would be a bit tedious to go through each one, but he has them all listed.

I think the 446 figure is total homicides in Obamaville, not "children." Many of the victims are under the age of 18, but not 400+.

Black folks only make up 13% of the population... yet they account for committing 50% of all murders with a handgun...

Shhh dont tell the left b/c then you will be labeled a racist and a bigot for citing these facts. they only care about facts when it suits their propaganda. Right now 20 children being killed at once has bigger affect than 446 over the course of a year! Yes, I did just say that, its how they think!

Most of these shooting victims were older teenagers; and probably most were involved in some kind of criminal activity or gang related. STILL a shame and a waste of human life. But that's the problem, so many of the minority teenagers do not value life at all. Why isn't the great and powerful obama doing something to change that mentality? I'll tell you why, he doesn't really care about these lost children. All he cares is that they and they friends and family continue to vote dimocrat.

i visited Chicago for a period of 6 months working in a mission. The most in your face gangs were groups of children playing along side the road. When you walked away to carry your groceries into your building they would stip your car in minutes before you came out for the second batch. Hows that for gangs. People would drive around to parking lots and steal batteries, load them up in their cars and drive off to resell them, most like to the same sap who will need his battery back. Every window on the first floor was boarded up because of windows being broken into. I saw first hand the results of what is stated so you couldnt possibly convince me otherwise. Only the rich outskirts had any sanity. When they threw out their trash the poor in the center had to have a scavengers liscense to touch what they threw away. Oh God forbid....noooooo....Obama wouldnt do that .....yeah right.

"For those of you too dense to get the point of this post ..." The true point is that obviously Chicago gun laws aren't tough enough, and these troubling statistics a case for repealing the second amendment.

The amendments DO NOT GRANT RIGHTS! Rights pre-exist independent of ANY document. All the amendments do are point out specific ones that are a priority to limit government from infringing.

The "Bill of RIghts" is actually a "Bill of Limitations" on the FedGov. Repealing the 2nd or any other amendment does not do away with that right, it merely indicates that the Gov is planning to infringe your rights at will. Which they have been doing for decades.

The FedGov can have no legitimate powers that the People don't have. ALL FedGov power comes from the People, so how can it legitimately have a power we don't have? We do not cede or transfer our Rights so that the Gov can perform somethings (always poorly) for us.

OMG, the mentality of some people amaze me. Chicago has the most strict gun control in the nation YET it has the most violence by guns. I live in a town where just about everyone owns weapons YET the only violence we get is when some jerk from another state is hiding out from the law uses his weapons.

Even though we are blocked from getting to any of Obamas records, his real ones, we can at least focus on what the man was actually involved in while in public office. Chicago is indeed one that is greatly ignored. Its the worst place Ive every visited. Filthy and rat ridden at the core. Little children are the gangs to strip cars. What has Obama done for Chicago. I would like to know. This place is a perfect example of what happens when you take away people right to self defense.

Actually Fox News did do a couple stories this past summer about the violence there. Jesse Jackson's daughter Santita was the guest reporter covering the topic. Even though virtually all of the crime on Chicago's south and west sides is committed by young black males, she (like the political leaders there) was unwillinging to even entertain the notion that the lack of fathers in the homes could be the culprit. She insisted that all this killing is due to a "culture of violence". How can you begin to address the problem when you can't even agree what the problem is? Sad.

What's sad is that this will be used as a reason not to do anything. And I suspect nothing will be done, anyway. More kids, of all colors and backgrounds, will die, we'll have our week of grief porn, and move on to the next distraction. God help us.
