Obama Administration to Go After Retirement Accounts

When threats of Communism were in the news, books were written at a feverish pace reminding us of the insidious nature of the beast. There were the “useful idiots” who praised communism, but they were few and far between. But there were others who believed that while communism was something we did not want to imitate, we could work with communists for common ends.
There were always warnings, however, that you can trust the communists . . . to be communists. In fact, there was a book by that title written by Fred Schwarz in 1960: You Can Trust the Communists (to be Communists) when it came to their allies, intellectual dishonesty, education, children and literature, brainwashing and language, the manipulation of truth, relativism, and the use of the term “peace.” Communists were always going to be communists no matter how much wishful thinking hoped to believe otherwise.
In a similar way, you can trust liberals to always be liberals or progressives. They will always push taxing and spending policies. We’re seeing more of the consistency of liberals in their call from removing the debt ceiling and the daily insistence that taxes must be raised in the rich so they can pay their “fair share,” a plank, by the way, that’s taken right out of the Communist Manifesto.
But there’s only so much money that can be squeezed out of the wealthy. The money has to come from somewhere to fund the liberal version of Utopia. Inflation, increasing the money supply via the printing press, can do long-term damage to the economy.
When liberals agreed to set up retirement accounts where taxation could be postponed, a lot of people were skeptical. Why would any liberal agree to such a thing? Now we’re beginning to hear rumblings about the possibility that the Obama administration is looking at the trillions of dollars of potential revenue in these accounts as Jeff Berwick is warning us:
“[T]he National Seniors Council has announced that ‘Obama (has) Begun to Push for a New National(ized) Retirement System.’ According to them, a recent hearing sponsored by the Treasury and Labor Departments marked the beginning of the Obama Administration’s effort to nationalize the nation’s pension system and to eliminate private retirement accounts including IRAs and 401k plans.”
Who will object to such a takeover? Certainly the people who have money in these accounts, but not the people who don’t. The appeal will be made to the 51 percent who voted for Obama. “Why should the wealthy have what you can’t afford to participate in?,” promoters of the takeover will argue.
Retirement funds will be in the same category as Social Security, collected and managed by the State. Is there historical precedent for this type of statist action? You bet there is:
“In late 2010 Hungary’s government gave its citizens a choice: hand over all their savings to the government or lose all their state pension money. The government sought control over Hungarians’ $14 billion in individual retirement accounts. The Bulgarian government did something very similar when it tried to transfer $300 million in private early retirement savings into a state pension scheme. They only managed to get roughly 20% of the funds they sought. Last year Ireland raided the private stash in the National Pension Reserve Fund with a 0.6% levy under the label of a ‘jobs plan’ in order to bail out insolvent Irish banks.”
Liberals will never change. You can trust them always to believe and act as liberals, that is, liberal with other people’s money. None of it is really ours. We only get to keep what they allow us to keep.

Maybe seniors should withdraw everything from their accounts and stuff it in their mattresses. At least it wouldn't be accessible to the gov....but we'd be trading interest for security. It's something many of my friends are considering.

Yep....that's how half of America thinks.
Misery loves company and instead of using hard work and determination to pull themselves out of their dependency and entitlement lifestyle, those Obamazombies who live in poverty would rather drag the industrious producers down to their level by supporting the gov's move to steal their 401k's/IRAs. It's the old steal-from-the-rich-give-to-the-poor Robin Hood argument.

Mutt, they will be prepared in a massive group, remember the "have nots" who haven't worked, been diligent and saved will be the army against those that "have" who have worked and saved, and even if you have a gun they will have more extensive weaponry, that by the way your taxes helped to produced, and their helmets will be blue (UN), consequently if you haven't amassed an army you will have no defense.

Don't bet on it. We may not have tanks or miniguns, but we have ingenuity on our side. If the Taliban can build IED's I am sure we can also, as most of us are educated far beyond the Taliban or Al Quida. Blue targets, I mean helmets are easy to see & are better than a small bulls eye or big game.

Ever heard of "Combat Engineers", now called Sappers?? We learned way too much, and, i don't think any of us has actually ever surrendered our FM 5-34's. I have one for each of my family. Great manual, and can easily be accessed at the GPO site, as are maps, at the. Gov web site. Many defense and survival manuals there that the MIL still claim are the Combat Troop's Bibles.
I am, and have been ready since Carter.

Shell you grossly overestimate their abilities, and grossly UNDER estimate ours. Maybe YOU fear them, most of us do not. Remember, over 100 MILLION gun owners and over 320 million firearms at our disposal. Once word got out they were on the move & kicking in doors, every neighborhood and highway, every town, every city in America would become a killing zone for them. I don't care WHAT they're packing; 100 to 1 against semi-autos, you're dead meat.
Further, if they pass gun confiscation laws, an administrative collection will fail miserably. (Administrative collection, as in you have 30 or 60 days to surrender your firearms at designated collection sites or face penalties) A few limp-wrists may turn them over, but the vast majority of the populace are smart enough NOT to. Folks are spending every last dime they have on firearms right now. Trust me; they AIN'T doing it to give those firearms over because Obama doesn't like them. If they come for money or guns or both, be they national guard, regular military, UN troops or local law enforcement tac squads, it's game on, and they will be chewed to pieces. Remember, 100 million gun owners means about 100 million homes to invade. You think they got that kind of manpower amongst them, or support amongst the populace? You give them way more credence than they warrant.....

JUst look at who voted for the Half black so called president and it tells the whole story! Look who is sitting warm and comfortable in the white h ouse over thanksgiving with servants and PLENTY of gourmet food......and who is supporting the kids and the grandma?? These useful idiots in our Government aren't stupid in the sense that they don't have a back-up plan, and my best guess is that the Feds will print, and distribute different currency notes, rendering the DOLLAR worthless. Burying your dollars won't do you any good. Their intent is to not let the citizenry outsmart them. About three years ago there was a RUMOR that the US Government had already printed the Amiridollar, have them stashed in secure vaults, and ready for distribution on order. This may, or may not be true, and i don't want to sound like an alarmist, but it is very possible since there is talk of confiscating all retirement accounts.

This overthrow has been WELL thought out and planned. They got a lot of practice in finances in Europe and fighting in the middle east. We will look like they did. A good "currency" for your former 401(k)'s and IRAs is gold and/or silver coins, well-concealed but available for use. No off-shore accounts in other currencies are needed, and gold and silver won't depreciate like dollars will. Or so I've heard.

Don't ever think you're untouchable just because you live in a remote area. You're not. All they have to do is drop a few strategic bombs to block roads and passes out of the area, and from there they can take their time finding you. Than old saying "united we stand, divided we fall" has never been more relevant than it is today, and this corrupt, evil government knows it. They have spent the last four years dividing America like never before, also letting in millions of illegal immigrants who have no loyalty to America anyway. Why do you think they bought all those hollow point bullets (they can't use them anywhere but in the United States since they are outlawed everywhere else). Also consider the fact they have some 18 to 24 year olds working for homeland security that they trained (and when you see pictures of them holding guns, the pictures don't look a whole lot different from the children in Gaza that are taught to hate and kill. This administration has done so many things that should have scared people enough to get rid of him, but the draw of free stuff won over and our country lost and those of us who care lost our country. I know where the Obamas of this world spend their eternities............................
