Oklahoma City – The measure banning Sharia law in Oklahoma courts passed by Oklahoma voters in 2010 was shot down by a senate committee Thursday.
That move prompted responses by the bill’s author and the group who filed a lawsuit against it.
State Question 755 banned the consideration of Islamic Sharia law, derived from the Quran, when deciding Oklahoma court cases.
It passed with 70 percent of the vote in November 2010, so then came House Bill 1552, by State Rep. Sally Kern.
That bill passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives on a bipartisan 76-3 vote on its third reading in March 2011.
During a hearing this week, members of the Senate Rules Committee voted 6-9 against the measure.
A lawsuit against the measure was filed soon after by the Council on American-Islamic Relations in federal court because many Muslims felt it was a way to politically bash the group.
A federal judge sided with the [terror-linked]  group in November of last year, issuing a preliminary injunction that kept it from becoming law.
On Thursday, Kern said she was shocked by the committee’s failure to pass the bill.
“This measure has broad support in Oklahoma and killing it is a slap in the face to voters who believe foreign law should have no bearing on legal decisions that impact Oklahomans in Oklahoma,” Kern said.
The article’s author Homa Quazilbash doesn’t bother to note CAIR’s history of terror links, numerous executives arrested and deported on terror charges, and extensive and ongoing legal jihad against Americans. To institute sharia law.

What is wrong with those idiots? Are they looking to literally lose their heads? Sharia and Islam does not mix in America! Some one need to recall those bastards and have them given a full mental evaluation and a few courses in Islam, its goals and to understand they are inberd bastards who want to rule the damned world!  If there are women on that committeee, they most certainly need to read the damned Koran and see exactly what they think of women!

muslims who are all (you can forget that "moderate muslim" crap because when it finally hits the fan, who's side will they be on?) committed to the overthrow of our Constitution and it's replacement with sharia law.
And, at this point, I don't care how it happens.

Right on Ken...I agree. The only 'moderate muslim' is one that has run out of bullets and forgot his knife...
They are the scourge on American soil...and they will lie and cheat and steal to become the ruling class.
Invasive and virtually undetected they have come and planted their filthy slarmy 'religion' among trusting and loving Christians. Their intent is evil and unless they are removed they'll take over. Ask Europe!
I would suggest to Oklahoma and every State in the United States...If you aren't passing laws specifically limiting Sharia...it will eat you.

Frankly I think the people of OK need to find out who voted to kill this bill and recall them and just fire their butts. Enough is enough and if the people of the states do nothing then they are allowing this crap to keep going. STOP already Politicians and do what your voters want you to do and banning Sharia is a GOOD thing. WOW!
