Penny Young Nance, Chief Executive Officer and President Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee Jack,
As part of our commitment to defend faith, family and freedom from this administration’s aggressive assault, Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee will be hosting a national press conference beginning at 1 p.m. this afternoon (March 1), featuring a number of leading women to speak out against the Obama Administration’s unconstitutional Health and Human Services mandate.
Just prior to the CWALAC event, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Health regarding President Obama’s Mandate that undermines our religious liberties by forcing private health care plans to cover abortifacients, sterilization, and contraception. As I said in our national release to the mainstream media, “America’s women refuse to accept this unconstitutional government order. The Obama Administration’s HHS Mandate demolishes our constitutionally guaranteed freedom of religion and conscience rights.” + + CWALAC: Empowering Women to Speak Out Against Obama’s Assault on Religious Liberty
Jack, from the very onset of this statist ruling, CWALAC has been a lightning rod of protest -- providing a platform for women and like-minded men to express their outrage against Obama and his assault on our religious liberties through our national petition.
Continuing to lead the charge, CWALAC is proud to host this national press event featuring leading congresswomen including Diane Black (R-Tennessee), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee), Ann Marie Buerkle (R-New York) and Sue Myrick (R-North Carolina).
Other leading women include CWALAC’s own Dr. Janice Crouse, Janelle Wray Basham from Liberty University, Maureen Van Den Berg from the American Association of Christian Schools and Charmaine Yoest representing Americans United for Life. Through this event today, we are seeking to empower and spark a mighty protest from the women of our great nation that rattles through the halls of Washington, the White House and into the cities and towns across our land. Take a stand with us today as we declare that people of faith and conscience have the right to choose their own health care and make their own moral decisions without having to submit to the statist, oppressive federal policies of this administration! If you haven’t yet signed our national petition opposing Obama’s assault on our religious liberties please do so now by going here.
Already, CWALAC has delivered petitions on your behalf to Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebraska), in support of his Respect for Rights of Conscience Act of 2011 (H.R. 1179) -- key legislation that calls for an end to ObamaCare in the long-term, but in the short-term would rescind Obama’s Mandate for all -- not just a chosen few.
I am so grateful that so many women and like-minded men are standing with CWALAC, and allowing us to fight on your behalf for faith, family and freedom -- on Capitol Hill and beyond!
Thank you again for your outstanding support. Sincerely,
Penny Young Nance Chief Executive Officer and President | | P.S. Prayerfully consider making a special donation today to help us maintain our position on the frontline as we fight this and other critical issues that are undermining our liberties and families, and threatening our children. Take action today by going here.
