| This week in Guns & Patriots...
Neil W. McCabe, Editor Dear Guns & Patriots readers, This week in the newsletter I am running pieces by two politicians on gun rights. One, Richard J. Santorum, is running for president, and the other, Daniel Bongino, is running for the U.S. Senate in Maryland. These are not endorsements, they are airings. Feel free to comment, but remember they are not endorsements. Also, this week, we take a look at an issue very close to the heart of Brian H. Darling, who writes the Human Events "Legislative Lowdown" column and who shares the podcast with me. Brian, as a staffer for then-Sen. Robert C. Smith (R.-N.H.), led the fight to arm pilots after the Sept. 11 Attacks. In this week's podcast, and in two different articles he wrote for RedState.com, Brian talks about the federal program that deputizes and arms airline pilots—and the president's proposal to cut the program in half. In our video this week, the Gun Dean makes the case that the war President Obama is waging against gun right is part of his larger war against the Culture of Life and the freedom of worship, specifically, the Catholic Church. In next week's podcast, I will show off some of my new Mandarin, I am learning with Pimsleur Approach CDs I pop in my computer and listen to at work. A colleague, who is engaged to a Chinese woman, listened in and thought they were too basic for him, so he will probably order the next level. But, I am very comfortable at my low rung—for now. Pimsleur Approach is this week's sponsor, please consider them an option. There is more below, so I won't keep you. Enjoy, Neil W. McCabe Editor, Guns & Patriots |
