Indiana Republican Senator Dick Lugar that’s who. Jack, back in 1993—remember Lugar has been in the Senate for nearly 36 years—he supported an individual mandate in health care. But don’t remind Dick Lugar of that. Lugar’s busy trying to make us forget his Big Government record by signing on to a legal brief urging the Supreme Court to strike down ObamaCare if the individual mandate is found unconstitutional. The title of a recent article from The Hill newspaper on Lugar’s hypocrisy reads: “Lugar haunted by past support for individual mandate.” Lugar is no conservative. He’s only playing up the conservative rhetoric now that he's being challenged in Indiana’s Republican primary by our endorsed candidate Richard Mourdock. In fact, recent polling by Global Strategies Group shows Richard Mourdock leading Dick Lugar 44%-42%. During his time as State Treasurer of Indiana, Mourdock became known nationwide for leading the legal fight to challenge the Obama Administration’s illegal bailout and takeover of Chrysler. In fact, Mourdock fought his case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Indiana pensioners. Rather than shy away from the Tea Party like Lugar, Mourdock has been a committed advocate to both the movement and its values. When the Tea Party was just in its infancy—when most from the so-called “establishment” were afraid to walk into the spotlight—Mourdock was one of the first politicians to agree to speak at our first Taxpayer March on Washington back in 2009. We stand with Richard Mourdock, and I hope, wherever you live and whatever you can do—you’ll help us retire Dick Lugar and elect Richard Mourdock. You can spread the word about Lugar’s Big Government record, phone bank for Mourdockusing our FREE online system, or donate $10.00, $25.00, or $50.00 to help us win this crucial race. Remember, the Tea Party movement isn’t just about “beating Democrats”. It’s also about throwing out the establishment Republicans who’ve forgotten their conservative principles and restoring America to the vision of our Founders. That’s what Richard Mourdock will help us do. Thanks for your time. In Liberty,
