Harry Reid: ‘The Tea Party’s Dying Out as the Economy’s Getting Better Slowly’
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Sunday in a rare television interview that his Republican counterparts in the Senate are guilty of “obstructionism on steroids” and that the tea party is slowly “dying out.”
“First of all, I understand the frustration of the American people,” the Nevada senator said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“I feel the same way. But understand that we’ve had obstructionism on steroids. The Republican leader, my counterpart, Mitch McConnell, said his number one goal at the beginning of this Congress was to defeat President Obama, not have him re-elected, and that’s how they’ve legislated. We’ve spent months on things that used to happen just matter of factly; raising the debt ceiling. We did it for President Reagan 18 times and we spent two and a half months doing that.”
Reid pinned the blame for the obstructionism on the influence the tea party has in the Republican Party.

Personally, I don't see the tea party dying out and the economy isn't getting better. Reid is having a permanent senior moment.
Looks like Harry Reid has been putting pomegranate plants into his BONG again. Is he totally without a Clue? Does he really believe this crap or is he just out of touch with reality? How the good people of Nevada elect this moron is besides me.
How can they say the economy is getting better when We The People can see what is really happening. The people who were making $60K to $90K per year who's jobs have been lost and have run out of unemployment are now working for $8 to $12 per hour. These people are now considered to be employed and therefore are no longer on the unemployment roles. We are not stupid Harry, we are wide awake and much smarter than you sir.
Outside Washington and Wall Street the economy is not seen as getting better, maybe not getting worse as fast. The TEA Party is not about the economy, it is about big out of control government size and spending.

Because a Repunlic is a government ruled by law and not majority, the dreamers and nutcases wanting utopia can do nothing but try and destroy the foundation associated with that reality we call America. I always say, a person can be a citizen of the United States but that does not make that person an American. We have reached a point in American history that it is difficult for me to think any Democrat is an American.

Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president who also smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.

We need a State-by-State league joined at the hips to protect the US Constitution. I propose this be the start of The Arizona League.
