Mark Levin: ‘We Now Live in a Post-Constitutional Country’
In an interview with CNSNews.com about his new book—“Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America”—Mark R. Levin said he believes America has already largely become “a post-constitutional country.”
The book, released Monday, compares the Utopian and unworkable schemes laid out by political philosophers from Plato to Thomas Hobbes with the vision of natural law, God-given rights, and individual liberty that inspired the Founding Fathers when they wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
“Utopianism is not new,” Levin writes in “Ameritopia.” “It has been repackaged countless times—since Plato and before. It is as old as tyranny itself. In democracies, its practitioners legislate without end. In America, law is piled upon law in contravention and contradiction of the governing law—the Constitution.”
Levin’s verdict: Barack Obama and modern American liberals are firmly in the Utopian camp—pursuing a vision fundamentally at odds with limited government and human freedom.

Did the Patriot Act and the NDAA pass both houses of Congress by a 2/3 majority and then go on to the States for ratification?
If not, one would normally be looking at ordinary legislation with the NDAA & the Patriot Act, and other similar “void” laws which infringe constitutional rights and liberties.
Delivering the opinion of the Court in Marbury v. Madison, 5 US 137 in 1803, Chief Justice MARSHALL said this of unconstitutional laws:
"If, then, the courts are to regard the constitution, and the constitution is superior to any ordinary act of the legislature, the constitution, and not such ordinary act, must govern the case to which they both apply."

America's rights were never REPEALED, it’s a BLUFF.
The NDAA and the PATRIOT ACT are VOID laws which have NO POWER to amend the constitution by "repealing" any part of it.
They are simply hoping the American people won’t wake up in time to SAVE THEMSELVES before martial law is invoked by the putsch (A sudden and decisive change of government illegally or by force) which has taken over the government.

How can something that is not a law be "legally declared VOID".

The constitution, as well as the attempt to rid the world of JESUS CHRIST, the making of anti-GOD laws, disrespect for a free America, the pitting of illegals against citizens, and all evil that is going on against GOD'S people around the world, had to come about before JESUS CHRIST will come back for HIS people. This did not just happen in the past three years even though the pace did multiply many times, it has been going on for many years. In 2008 many of us had never heard o Obama, but GOD has known about him, knew he would become Americas president, all the things that he would do, all about the progress of evil around the world, since the beginning. Be careful of Levin. He is either a terrible historian or he is trying to equate Neo Conservatism with John Locke instead of Hobbes. The case could not be farther from the truth. John Locke and Thomas Jefferson espoused Libertarian ideology, and Thomas Hobbes and Alexander Hamiltonespoused Federalism (Central Planning) the roots of NeoConservatives, NeoLiberals, and Progressives.

Mark Levin is correct. Our GOP cowardly Congress has allowed this fake president to get away with murdering our Constitution, and allowed a radical Attorney General to get away with murder and illegal gun running. This Congress has allowed Obama to have powers to arrest and detain all who oppose him, ie NDAA the precursor to Martial Law and Obama dictatorship. Sounds crazy? This fake president is the Real Enemy of America...not the Taliban, not Iran, Not China, Not Russia or any other preconceived enemy. Levin is basically correct: we now live in a post-Constitution nation. It's been a slowly growing problem that has now accelerated under both Bush2 & Obama. The vague "War on Terror' was expertly used by the big government statists to take away our freedoms. Both the Ds & Rs in politics did it to us (except for a few like Ron Paul that consistently voted against it & tried to warn us of it... but his was a "voice crying out in the wilderness" & few heard it).

I can't say that I understand all the comments made so far..I take a much simpler attitude toward what has been occurring in our nation over the last number of years.
1. The press has been only reporting what they want us to know..including Fix News.
2. Congress passes or not for their benefit using a slight of hand game against Americans.
3. America is changing drastically so fast before our very eyes..they and I say "they lightly" there are only a few hundred against millions..but the one hand giving and the other taking..so quickly most can't follow it ..life is busy.
4. I don't believe it is 1 party doing this anymore..it has taken me a long time to get to that point but that's what I believe. Who in their right mind would want to be in "our" position when what their working toward times down?
5. Its obvious with all the "camps and future (this year) checkpoint being set up..that terrorists mentioned are not considered foreign.
I am a grandmother to 2 beautiful young granddaughter..I pray daily for them to grow up free with the opportunities my generation had..it was amazing..a beautiful life..
I don't see that happening for them and it saddens me for all the children who could grow up in a different world oppressed and with no opportunities.
