At this very moment, Congress is considering what to do about the Death Tax. It’s a key item in the“Taxamaggedon” talks going on right now between Congress and the President.
A majority of members of the House of Representatives support killing this tax. And I’m confident a majority of Senators do, too. That’s why this is our golden opportunity to get rid of this heinous tax once and for all.
But grassroots America needs to stand up and be heard, RIGHT NOW.
You see, if Congress does nothing, on January 1st the Death Tax will soar to its all-time, pre-Bush tax cuts high of 55% on any inheritance over $1 million!
And if that happens, families across America could be wiped out as small businesses, farms and even investment nest eggs and real estate holdings have to be liquidated by heirs simply to pay this horrendous tax.
This is morally wrong. The government should never, ever profit from the deaths of its citizens.
That’s why The Conservative Caucus is leading the fight to abolish this tax once and for all during this “lame duck” session of Congress.
