Obama administration doesn't even PRETEND to care how this looks.  It doesn't matter to them.  The ends justify the means.  Petraeus obviously had very damning testimony to give.  Wonder if Obama's team threatened his family to get him to quit. Affair, my ass. No one quits over an affair unless they hold elected office.

Oh...Now I See! I did not know that Petraus resigning would have an effect on the Benghazi hearings!
Obama does get away with murder!!

Petraeus is a General. General's never retire. Therefore, Congress can force him to testify.

Yup he was scheduled to testify on Tuesday.  They say now he will not be testifying.  Interesting how 2 days after the election news of Petraeus's affair broke in the - you guessed it - Chicago papers.  Yup, the Mob is installed in the White House.

And I agree. Affair my ass. Watch out Hillary, your next. Obama will have you done in, one way or another. Probably make Bill happy to see you go then he can call Monica.

Which general are you referring to?  Obama can't stop congress from calling Petraeus.  He's no longer a member of the administration so executive privilege should not apply.  The one they need to call is General Carter Ham, the general who was relieved of his command.  I think he could really put the screws to Obummer but since he's still in the military they could order him not to appear.

Marvin. I do not know if your comment was directed at me, but I agree with you. Obama cannot stop congress from calling Petraeus and I also agree that they should call General Ham. I understand General Ham was not only relieved but arrested. I disagree that he could be ordered not to appear. Congress still rules in this nation (I think!).

I just listened to a Congressman on Greta's Show.. He said, "regardless, Petraeus is testifying"..
Why was Petraeus in such an all fired hurry to speak of the affair? Know one has spoken of it, I don't think
anyone knew..Of all the people in the world, you would think that the Director of the CIA could keep this totally
hidden.

You are right Joyce, "Obama administration doesn't even Pretend to care how this looks".  Let me add SMELL.  This reeks, and they wonder why we question every last little thing this Boob does.  By the way Cankle girl Hillary isn't available to testify next week either.  And as I understand it Petraeus is lawyering up.  You can bet your last dollar that Boob boy's trip to Jakarta, Burmese (sp), and Thailand on the 17th of this month is a diversion, just as his I'm going to NYC next week is a diversion.
