It includes, but is not limited to, guerrilla warfare, subversion, sabotage, intelligence activities, and unconventional assisted recovery. Also called UW. nonbattle injury A person who becomes a casualty due to circumstances not directly attributable to hostile action or terrorist activity. Also called NBI
